New Charity Commission Constitution for Small Charities

The Charity Commission has published a new model constitution for use by small, unincorporated charities having an income under £5,000, i.e. those which are too small to be required to register with the Charity Commission.

To be eligible to use the constitution, charities must not hold land or have any employees and must be constituted as an unincorporated association, rather than a company limited by guarantee or other form of corporate entity.

The constitution is only 700 words in length. For further details, please refer to the Charity Commission’s website here: http://www.charity-commission.gov.uk/news/modcon.asp.
