The Melton Mowbray Pork Pie Association have applied to register the name ‘Melton Mowbray Pork Pie’ as a protected geographical indication (PGI). The published application can be found at http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:C:2008:085:0017:0020:EN:PDF. Employment - April changes

A number of important changes come into force from 6 April 2008:
• Statutory Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Pay increases from £112.75 to £117.18 a week;
• Statutory Sick Pay increases from £72.55 to £75.40 a week;
